And This Too Shall Pass is an installation that deals with the passage of time and its transient nature, both in a personal manner [through the mediation of the artist’s emotional experience] and a direct fashion [through the physical body as the source/method of transformation to highlight the ephemeral qualities of time]. The objects presented become signifiers and markers of time, whether expressed through the daily accumulation of cigarette exhale on tissue, the performance of daily self-portraits, or the sewing of monthly haircut remains.
